How to Use FraudMiner

FraudMiner is an investigative tool for detecting fraud in recorded audio and alerting security personnel. In its most simple configuration, it processes large quantities of audio to see if the voices match known fraudster voiceprints. For a general overview, see Getting Started.

The system automatically loads and processes recordings whenever audio files appear in a monitored folder on your file system. For example, you can collect audio from a call center and copy to a monitored folder.

FraudMiner detects possible attacks for different types of fraud, and provides tools for detailed investigation:

Detecting new and known fraudsters

FraudMiner detects when new imposters attempt to gain access to customer accounts. Requires enrolled voiceprints of legitimate customers before delivering collected audio.

FraudMiner keeps a watchlist of already-known fraudsters and finds them in incoming audio if you've enrolled voiceprints, deviceprints, or conversoprints of known fraudsters before delivering collected audio.

Finding biometrics anomalies

FraudMiner analyzes recent conversations of customers and verifies if there is a biometric inconsistency within the conversation. See Detecting Voice Anomalies.

Does not require enrolled customer or fraudsters—Just deliver recorded audio to FraudMiner. The audio must indicate the customer IDs claimed by callers.

Recognizing keywords spoken by fraudsters

The system automatically recognizes specific words and phrases in audio recordings. See Spotting keywords in speech.

Finding repeated fraud attacks

FraudMiner detects when a previously unknown fraudster attacks multiple customer accounts.

Sending fraud attack notifications
